SHOWCASING A GENERATION OF DIVERSE WINTER OLYMPIANS
We launched a global series of 6 fly-on-the-wall documentaries following athletes in the run up to the Winter Games in Beijing 2022. The series celebrates the true diversity of athletes and stories that make up the Olympic village, from novice first-timers to seasoned veterans, inspiring audiences by showing the sheer will, and determination that each athlete needs to overcome all odds to achieve their Olympic dream.
BRINGING UNIQUE STORIES TO LIFE
The series captures intimate portraits across a range of remarkable athletes including Puerto Rican skier, and transplant survivor William Flaherty, Donovan Carillo, the first Mexican Ice Skater to compete in 30 years, and Erin Jackson, the first black woman to compete for the U.S. Olympic long track speed skating team. Each film delves into their inspirational backstories whilst giving a candid and unguarded insight into their present day.
A MULTI-CHANNEL GLOBAL SERIES CREATED WITH LOCAL TALENT
The series was shot across 12 countries, over a period of 6 months using entirely local directors and crews throughout the production, sourced through JustSo’s Global Creator Network.
The local teams were brought together by a core team of Story Producers and Executive Producers at JustSo, who closely oversaw the development and direction of each story to ensure creative consistency throughout.  This allowed us to harness the vital perspectives of local creatives in each market, bringing authentic cultural perspectives to each film.  The documentaries were delivered across multiple channels including OTT, YouTube, and Instagram.
