Every Olympics, there is a story that transcends the sport. In 2016 we helped the Refugee Olympic Team become that story.
A complex global challenge.
Proactively leading the project drew on the breadth of our services. We used our Real Story Network to find the athletes across 20 countries and 10 languages, built partnerships with UNHCR, Google and Rio 2016 and delivered high impact emotional storytelling from challenging locations.
The power of earned media.
With a small budget, partnerships and earned media were key to success. On the day of the Opening Ceremony, we secured placement of our lead film on the Google UK homepage and generated earned media around the world including headlines and coverage across BBC, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, India Times, Huffington Post.
