LEGO Social Impact
NOT ANOTHER CORPORATE VIDEO
We were approached by LEGO to create a series of films that showcased the incredible workshops that LEGO run to support underpriviliged children around the world. Central to the brief was making sure that we elevated the films beyond corporate videos and captured the learning through play concept that underpins all of LEGO’s workshops.
AN IMMERSIVE CREATIVE APPROACH
To achieve this, we wanted our films to have an immersive feel, putting viewers in the heart of the action, and the play. To achieve this, we encouraged children to self shoot content and interact with cameras freely. This gave giving the films a playful feel and allowing us to capture natural, unguarded moments from the workshops. And shooting at children’s eye level, put the viewer in the room with the children, rather than observing from the outside.
SUSTAINABLE GLOBAL PRODUCTION
With workshops happening across the world (UK, China, Mexico, Czech Republic and Vietnam), it was key for us that our production approach put sustainable. Using our Global Creator Network, we recruited local teams for each film, dramatically reducing carbon emissions across the project.

AN EFFECTIVE CONTENT ECOSYSTEM
Alongside the series of individual films showcasing the impact stories of each community, we created a film that told the overall story of LEGO’s global impact strategy. All this content was hosted on a bespoke microsite that provided more detail on how LEGO delivers local community engagement using the power of play.
