HUMANISE A HOME CAMERA
Google needed to raise awareness of their Nest Cam and wanted people to understand it was more than just a CCTV camera – it was  a camera that could capture all of the unexpected moments in the home.
LEVERAGING CULTURE
We saw an opportunity to leverage Super Bowl 50 and place Nest Cam at the heart of the home across the USA in a live social campaign that turned the camera on fans, capturing their spontaneous, emotional, and hilarious reactions to the game’s biggest moments!
RECRUITING FAMILIES ACROSS THE USA
With only a short casting window we used our in-house, expert casting team at Real Story Network to find 30 homes and families right across the USA – from Hawaii to Alaska to show the diversity and passion of fans.
CAPTURING LIVE SUPER BOWL REACTIONS
We sent Nest Cams out to each family and on game day, we worked with them live from our San Francisco production base to capture their reactions to the game’s key moments, releasing reaction clips in real time on social, as well as creating half time and full time montage edits.
EARNED MEDIA
Using Twitter as our main channel, we placed our content where fan conversation was already taking place to make Nest a key player in the conversation around the Super Bowl. We raised brand awareness by 25% in the 7 days following the game and achieved 1M+ views organically, without spending a penny on ATL media.
