Every wine tells a story. 🍷

That was the heart of the wine tasting our resident sommelier (and Effectiveness Director) Nikhil Acharya led for the JustSo team this week.

Each round paired two contrasting wines, giving us the chance to taste and compare different styles and traditions.

We had a dramatic “old world vs new world” showdown – while hearing the brilliant underdog story of the Californian vineyards that took on the French and won in the famous 1976 blind tasting that stunned the wine world.

We explored sparkling wines, sampling a Blanc de Noirs Champagne and a Blanc de Blancs Crémant, while hearing about the ancient craft of wine riddling – a process that once involved cellars full of bottles being painstakingly turned by hand (with the occasional explosion for good measure).
